Man's body found southeast of Cross Iron Mills Mall
Airdrie RCMP are waiting for toxicology reports to determine the cause of death of the man found dead, laying at the side of Cross Iron Drive, on the morning of Tuesday, March 20.
Sergeant Patricia Neely of the Airdrie RCMP says police are still actively investigating the death of the man, who had no fixed address. An autopsy has been completed, but officials are waiting for results from toxicology reports to determine the cause of death. Toxicology tests could take months to complete.
At this point, investigators do not believe the death to be homicide, but they are trying to understand how the man came to be at the remote location. Police believe that someone knows how the man got to the spot where he died and are looking to speak to anyone with information.
The name of the deceased isn’t being released, pending notification of next of kin.
