Missing man’s body found found in Horstman Creek
27-year old David Christian went missing after an evening out in Whistler B.C., on St. Patrick’s Day. His body was found on March 21 at Horstman Creek, a waterway that runs through the Fairmount Chateau Whistler Golf Course.
Friends began to worry about David when he didn’t show up for work the next day and missed a planned flight to Vancouver.
On March 20, police were notified about the discovery of a pair of shoes in the area of Horstman Creek. The next day, members of the Whistler RCMP and Whistler Search and Rescue conducted a search in the area and found the body of David Christian in Horstman Creek.
There was no sign of foul play. Staff Sergeant Stevel LeClair of the Whistler RCMP says David Christian likely died from hypothermia.
Sergeant LeClair goes on to add: “This was not the outcome we’d hoped for. Police are saddened by this discovery and extend our sympathies to the friends and family of Mr. Christian”.
