Winefest Calgary: Wine festival entices local vino lovers

Highly-anticipated wine event returns to Stampede Park Big Four

Winefest Calgary: Wine novices and seasoned vino lovers alike will enjoy an all-inclusive wine sampling while indulging in a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres.

 

Winefest Calgary, Alberta’s favourite all-inclusive wine event, is back  and now celebrating its 20th year on Feb. 24 and 25 at the Stampede Park Big Four.

 

 

Regardless of the varying intentions for attending, Winefest Calgary is a wonderful celebration of wine.

“The event brings together over 200 wines from the top regions across the globe. Winemakers, winery representatives and other experts offer attendees a glimpse into the world of wine,” said Cathy Miller, Winefest Festival Director.

“The Festival is aimed at providing an exciting and affordable way to experience a wide selection of new wines, regions, unique varietals and blends, without having to purchase the bottle first.”

At Winefest Calgary, there is sure to be wines to match every style, taste and price point. As an all inclusive event, consumers are able to sample from hundreds of international wines as well as a selection of port, sparkling and dessert wines while exploring the numerous booths in the tasting hall.

Attendees in search of a luscious red, refreshing rose or crisp white will be sure to find it at Winefest.

Delicious hors d’oeuvres and cheese will also be available for consumers to enjoy. Upon arrival, attendees will be given a complimentary Tasting Notebook and keepsake Riedel wine glass to enhance their wine sampling throughout the tasting session.

Searching for wines worthy of purchase has never been this easy or this delicious.

With a selection of red, white, sparkling and dessert wines and ports to choose from, guests can sample hundreds of local and international wine varieties from 15 of the world’s most renowned regions.

Liquor Depot will be onsite allowing guests to purchase their favourite finds of the night.
