Shawn Northwest charged in connection with assault on woman
Woman died, but death not considered homicide at this time
23-year old man also allegedly assaulted
51-year old Marie Sapp was allegedly assaulted at a home in a Strathcona area home on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25. Marie Sapp later died in hospital on Sunday, February 26.
The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on February 27, but could not determine a cause of death, pending toxicology results. So, at this time, police are not considering her death a homicide.
A 23-year old man was also allegedly assaulted on Saturday, February 25. He was taken to hospital on Saturday, suffering from serious injuries.
