Police Information Checks office moving

Moving from downtown to Westwinds Campus

Downtown office will close at noon on Friday, January 27

As of January 27 if you need a Police Information Check,  the Calgary Police Service PICU downtown office is moving to the Westwinds Campus, East Building at 5111 47 St N.E.

To accommodate the move, PICU will close at 12 p.m., on Friday and will re-open at its new location at 7:30 a.m., on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.

The new location will offer ample free parking.  Calgarians are reminded that they can get a Police Information Check at numerous locations throughout the city, including:

District 1 Ramsay

1010 26 Ave. S.E.

Victoria Park Station
334 11 Ave S.E.

District 5
800 Saddletowne Circle N.E.

District 7
11955 Country Village Link N.E.

District 8
450 Midpark Way S.E.

CPS Traffic Section
6528 11 St. N.E.

Hours of each location are available on the CPS website at www.calgarypolice.ca

If you are applying for a PIC, you must bring two pieces of government-issued ID.  One must have a photo and the other can be a social insurance number, health care card or birth certificate.  The cost for the PIC is $30 and $15 for unpaid practicums or volunteers; you must bring a letter from the organization.

Applications that are received at all locations will receive the same priority and hopefully the service will be offered online in the future.

If you need Vulnerable Sector fingerprinting, or are applying for a pardon, as a security guard/locksmith or are an out-of-city/country applicants, you are required to visit the Westwinds location only.

The CPS Westwinds Campus is now home to many areas of the CPS, including public services such as crime and collision reporting and the Alarm/Bylaw, Correspondence and Ticket Control Units.
