Airdrie RCMP along with Calgary RCMP General Investigation Section arrested 56-year old Lisa O’Dale after authorities were informed of the American fugitive’s whereabouts by the F.B.I. and the American government.
Constable Robert Frizzell of the Airdrie RCMP says O’Dale was wanted on outstanding warrants for trafficking large amounts of narcotics in the state of Louisiana dating back to 2008. Police believe that O’Dale fled to Canada in 2009 while awaiting her court date. When she failed to attend court, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
O’Dale was arrested without incident on October 31 in Airdrie. Lisa O’Dale is set to be brought before the Court of Queens Bench in Calgary where an extradition hearing will be held.
