Valemount RCMP are searching for a missing 91-year old man who suffers from a heart condition and dementia.
Cpl Annie Linteau of the RCMP says that on Thursday October 20, James McKirdy of Valemount drove to the post office in the evening, but did not return home.
James’ family and the Valemount RCMP are concerned for his wellbeing and are hoping the public can help them locate the missing man.
James McKirdy is described as a Caucasian man, 5’9″ tall with brown eyes, thin build and is bald on top with large sideburns. He may be wearing glasses, a maroon jacket, green work pants, a black baseball cap and slip on shoes.
Valemount Police are also searching for a grey 2003 Toyota Matrix with a B.C. Veteran license plate – 061 VBA.
Valemount police and public volunteers are conducting a search of the area and additional resources are on route to the area. Police are asking anyone who may have seen James McKirdy or the vehicle to please call the Valemount RCMP at (250) 566-4466 immediately.
Valemount is located 125 Km west of Jasper.
