Stamps’ Eric Fraser promotes Canada’s first online micro-volunteering community to raise $20,000 for cancer research

| October 31, 2011 | 0 Comments

Calgary Stampeders’ Eric Fraser is joining the Canadian Cancer Society Alberta-NWT branch on November 4 to promote microvolunteering.

Microvolunteering is a volunteerism break-through that offers Canadians a way to harness the web to make a difference from anywhere, anytime, and provides resource-strapped Calgary charities a huge pool of professionals, college and university students, who are ready to volunteer their specialized skills at a moment’s notice.

Koodonation.com is making a $20,000 donation in Fraser's name to the Canadian Cancer Society Alberta branch for his efforts.

Fraser recently joined Koodonation.com, Canada’s first ever non-profit microvolunteering community. Microvolunteering is volunteering for the social media generation and embraces the fact that most people are time-crunched, but want to make a contribution to their community.

It turns volunteering into a purely online activity which can be done during a volunteer’s free time.

Fraser is volunteering his time to talk about this invaluable tool for Canadian charities, non-profits, and time-strapped Calgarians interested in volunteering.

Koodonation.com says it is making a $20,000 donation in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society Alberta branch.
