Two bank robberies in Calgary Monday
There were two bank robberies three hours apart in the city of Calgary on Monday afternoon.
The first robbery was at the McKenzie Towne Scotiabank at just before 1 p.m. The lone robber approached a teller and produced a robbery note. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and immediately left the bank.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, about 25 years old. He was about 5’10″ tall, 190-200 pounds, had light brown hair and was wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses a black hoodie, black t-shirt, jeans and white shoes.
The second robbery was in Marda Loop at the Alberta Treasury Branch located in the 2100 block of 34 Ave S.W., at about 3:50 p.m.
Two men are suspects in this robbery where the two approached multiple tellers demanding cash. The culprits were given an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank immediately.
The suspects are both described as Caucasian men. The first one is between 23 and 28 years old, 5’10″ tall, weighing 190 pounds. He had a slim build, pale complexion and was wearing a dark baseball cap, sunglasses and had a bandana over his face. The second suspect is thought to be between 24 and 30 years old. He is 6’2″ tall with a stocky build, about 240 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue or green bandana, dark baseball cap, tinted sunglasses, a dark jacket, dark leather gloves, dark pants and was carrying a dark bag.
