Police trying to figure out deceased woman’s last movements
The Calgary Police Service is hoping the public can assist them in finding out the movements, prior to her death, of a woman whose body was found in the Bow River early last week.
Guadalupe Catbagan, 74, of Calgary was found in the Bow near the 1000 block of Memorial Drive N.E., on Tuesday July 5 at around 6:30 p.m. Police and Fire Department were originally called to the scene at around 6 p.m. that evening.
An autopsy on the woman confirmed her identity and determined that the manner of death is not believed to be suspicious. Along with figuring out what happened to Guadalupe Catbagan, the woman’s family and police are hoping the public can assist them in finding several pieces of Catbagan’s jewellery that have been reported missing by her family.
Guadalupe Catbagan left her home in Castleridge at around 8 a.m. on Monday July 4 and did not return home later that day, as was expected. Her family reported her missing to police at around 10:30 on Tuesday July 5.
